A trickle of Banyuls Vinegar is enough to ignite great flavor that adds character to sauces and salad dressings. It can also be employed wonderfully to deglaze dishes like sautéed duck or foie gras.
Banyuls Vinegar has a luminous amber color. The bouquet has intense notes of walnut, gingerbread, bee wax, orange peel, vanilla, and liquorice.
This Banyuls Vinegar is produced by Cave de l'Abbé Rous, a distinguished French wine maker specializing in Banyuls Wine, France's most famous fortified dessert wine made principally from the “grenache grape” cultivated around Banyuls-sur-mer, where the Pyrenees mountain range descends into the Mediterranean. Thus, utilizing its wine making expertise, Cave de l'Abbé Rous produces a Banyuls Vinegar that retains most of the qualities of Banyuls Wine.
